(Nashville, Tennessee – September 9, 2021) – Singer/Songwriter Ashlyn Grayce just released her powerful new single, "Letter From Heaven," which is now available on all digital and streaming platforms. This emotionally compelling song will assuredly tug at the heartstrings of listeners everywhere, and it is by far the most personal song Grayce has ever written. "Letter From Heaven" was affectionally crafted to honor her grandmother, "Mimi," who recently passed away. Although the song is very personal, it also conveys a universal message of selfless love and painful loss, relatable to anyone who has ever experienced heartbreak and sorrow. Grayce moves through the song with emotion, taking the listener on a touching journey, as she imagines receiving a letter from Heaven from her Grandmother where she describes her new home.

I've never seen such green grass,

Yellow flowers and blue skies that always last.

I'm reminiscing with my mama,

Having dinner with my daddy,

Watching sunsets in the valley made of gold.

All the people live in harmony

Beneath the branches of the cherry tree,

By far the best place I've ever been.

Signed, my letter from Heaven.

Grayce's transparent and angelic vocals, kindred in spirit with Dolly Parton and Emmylou Harris, compliment the song's sublime country, folk, and grassroots sounds. "Letter From Heaven" was co-written with Grammy award-winning songwriter Steve Dean and produced by industry veteran Brent Rader. Grayce's younger brother, Hunter Cranford, was also featured on guitar throughout the track. "This song is so near and dear to my heart, and it wouldn’t be what it is today without the help of these three amazingly talented guys," Grayce reflected.

Grayce and Steve Dean recently had the honor of debuting the song live at Dollywood's Celebrity Theatre during the 2021 Gatlinburg Songwriters Festival. Their performance was received with rousing enthusiasm and approval.

"I am so excited to share this song with everyone, and I hope it brings you comfort and peace during these trying times like it did for me when I wrote it," said Grayce. "We all experience the loss of someone dear during our lives which is painful and universal. You never get over the loss of a loved one and, as difficult as it was, I want to do my best to honor Mimi through the power of music and turn my heartache into something positive that others can relate to and hopefully heal from." Upon its release, "Letter From Heaven" premiered on Radio SoBro's NuMu Friday. Listen here.

"This song came from a place deep within. During one of our writes back in September of 2019, I brought in the chorus I had written to get Steve's thoughts and to see if he would be willing to help me finish it. I'm so grateful he did. It was truly a magical session and turned out better than I ever could have ever imagined - from Steve's superb harmonies and Hunter's heartfelt guitar to Brent's beautiful grassroots production. Every line in the song perfectly reflects my sweet grandmother," Grayce commented. "Music has always been such an integral part of my grandmother's life as well as my family's, so honoring her with a song was natural. It was truly a labor of love and I am so pleased with how it turned out. Some of my most favorite people were a part of making this song come to life, and for that, I am so grateful."

Grayce’s music has a depth beyond her twenty-five years and offers an encouraging and positive message for listeners of all ages. She wants to make a difference in the lives of others through the power of her music - one song at a time - and is already back in the studio working on new material.
